EPA Gives Atlanta High Marks for Energy-Efficiency

Among the 25 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S., Atlanta ranked third on the list of most “Energy Star”-designated buildings last year, the EPA said. Atlanta ranked fifth on the list in 2012, third in 2011, sixth in 2010, and ninth both in 2009 and 2008. The two cities with more “Energy Star” buildings than Atlanta are No. 1 Los Angeles (443) and No. 2 Washington D.C. (435).
